The purpose of this project was to utilize draping methods to create an evening wear gown. As specified in the project brief, the dress was to be fabricated with an under structure, lining and an invisible zipper closure. The inspiration for the dress focused on religious iconography. The cape conceals much of the upper body and is intended to be removed, either once inside the event or throughout the night, to reveal the woman underneath.
